Location: London / Hybrid (Monday & Wednesday fixed +1 floating weekday in office). International travel required. 

Reports into: Managing Director

Works closely with: Founder & CEO / Managing Director / Client Services Director / Creative Strategy Director 

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum + benefits 

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Experience12 is a specialist pop culture experiential and events agency based in London, working globally. We work with entertainment, video game and non-endemic brands to produce brand experiences that deliver on creative, execution and client KPIs.

We also operate Popcultr, our industry media and community platform, including the Popcultr Marketing Summit at MCM Comic Con London. 

Why you’re here 

This is an exciting new role to not only develop the marketing function for Ex12 and The Popcultr Marketing Summit but to get under the skin of the business and help to drive our strategic aims. This role will play a key part in developing the dedicated marketing function for the agency.  

As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for maximising our exposure, generating interest from new and existing clients and supporting the team to get into rooms and conversations where an agency of our size would not normally be expected. You will make a measurable impact on the business’s trading and cultural aims. 

To be successful, you must be an operator in B2B and agency marketing, ready to contribute from day one and help define what this role becomes. You will bring ideas to the table, work with structure, focus on deliverables whilst championing new technology and tools. You will be fan native: someone who understands fandom – it’s what we live for.  

What you’re here to do 

Agency Marketing 

  • Produce case studies for every major project working closely with production and account teams to capture results, visuals, and client testimonials. 
  • Create and maintain credentials decks tailored to each vertical: Brand, Entertainment, and Games and as required. 
  • Own the visual quality and consistency of all agency marketing: creds decks, social assets, email templates, event collateral, and case study layouts. Our proposals should look as good as our activations. 
  • Create engaging visual content for social media: graphics, short-form video, motion design, and event content capture. 
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines across Ex12 and Popcultr. 
  • Own Ex12’s social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, and relevant platforms. Plan, create, schedule, and engage. Ensuring a consistent brand messaging and tone of voice across all platforms 
  • Manage the Ex12 website: keep project pages current, publish new work, ensure it reflects current positioning. 
  • Build and manage email marketing for client development and industry engagement, including quarterly insight mailers to existing clients and warm prospects. 
  • Track and report on marketing performance. Understand what drives inbound interest and double down on it. Feedback clear trends and insights to the SLT with suggestions on how to improve, 
  • Manage Ex12’s presence across industry platforms and memberships, including Little Black Book (LBB). 

PR, Media and Awards 

  • Build and maintain a press contact list: Campaign, The Drum, Marketing Week, MCV/DEVELOP, GamesIndustry.biz and relevant national media. Develop and maintain relationships with those contacts.  
  • Pitch project work and industry commentary to trade press. 
  • Identify and manage award submissions. Write entries and coordinate supporting materials. 
  • Support the leadership speaking programme – tracking call-for-speaker opportunities, coordinating submissions, and repurposing content from talks into social and written formats. 
  • Maintain speaker packs and briefing materials for the Founder and MD. 

Popcultr Platform 

  • Promote and grow the Popcultr Marketing Summit at MCM London. Manage attendee targeting, VIP client invitations, speaker coordination, and post-event content. 
  • Build Popcultr’s social following and email list as a distinct audience from the agency channels.

  • Positively contribute to the culture of the Experience12 team.

Skills and Experience 

  • Demonstrable experience as an operator in B2B or agency marketing. You understand how agencies win work, retain clients, and position themselves. 
  • Strong content skills with experience working with case studies, press pitches, LinkedIn posts, blog articles. You know the difference and can switch between them. 
  • Established design capability: professional social assets, pitch decks, email templates, event collateral. Proficiency in Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar. 
  • Experience with video and visual content including short-form editing, motion graphics, and content capture at live events. 
  • Previous social media management, particularly on platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram. 
  • Experience of event or conference marketing 
  • Ability to be organised and self-directed, working on multiple workstreams with minimal supervision. 
  • Can act as a technology champion. Someone who is excited by new tools, not intimidated by them. AI-assisted workflows are part of how we operate. 
  • Fan native. Someone who is genuine, has a demonstrable connection to pop culture, gaming, anime, entertainment, or fandom communities. This is fundamental to the role. 

Desirable 

  • Experience within the creative, experiential, or entertainment sector specifically. 
  • PR and media relations, particularly trade press. 
  • Event production or conference marketing beyond promotion. 
  • Understanding of the convention circuit: Comic-Con, Gamescom, EGX, and similar. 
  • Brand guidelines management across multiple sub-brands. 
  • Email marketing and CRM experience. 
  • Familiarity with creative industry platforms such as LBB, Campaign, or similar.
